Gregory Naff is an avid sportsman and active Trap shooter. Well known for his sayings that friends call “Naffisms” and quick with a welcoming smile and genuine nature. Greg and John have been friends for more than a decade. In 2013, John and Greg both decided it was time for Greg to learn the ropes and start making Knives. Under John’s careful and strict tutelage, Greg was a quick learner and hard worker. After earning John’s seal of approval, and with the admonition that everything Greg produced had to be of the same quality as John’s, John turned Greg out on the world. Greg is taking the reins of the company, giving John time to go fishing.

John E. Toner is the founder, master and leader of Continental Divide Knives. Known for his Tom Horn style cowboy hat (some friends have never seen him without the hat) his joke and story-telling ability and the beautiful knives he makes. A true friend and genuine article, John is one that tells it like it is. John has been a member of the Knife Makers guild and had made knives and accessories that are featured all over the world and used by Professional Hunters on every continent. John’s designs are brilliant in their ease of use, function, and beauty.
John will continue to be actively involved in Continental Divide Knives, continuing to provide guidance and knowledge that he has learned in the past 30 years about the knife lessons, and the past 75 years about the life lessons. Truly a good friend and mentor.
