Greg in Booth_web

Gregory Naff is an avid sportsman and active Trap shooter.  Well known for his sayings that friends call “Naffisms” and quick with a welcoming smile and genuine nature.  Greg and John have been friends for more than a decade.  In 2013, John and Greg both decided it was time for Greg to learn the ropes and start making Knives.  Under John’s careful and strict tutelage, Greg was a quick learner and hard worker.  After earning John’s seal of approval, and with the admonition that everything Greg produced had to be of the same quality as John’s, John turned Greg out on the world.  Greg is taking the reins of the company, giving John time to go fishing.

Greg is a life member and former director of the Arizona Elk Society.  He is also a life member of Safari Club International, North American Hunting Club, Arizona State Trapshooting Association, and Buckeye Sportsman Club.  He is a member and supports Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Phoenix Varmint Callers, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation and Scholastic Clay Target Program.  He supports wildlife organizations by donating knives for their fundraisers each year and works many hours each year on Wildlife projects.  Greg has been a youth shotgun coach with the Scholastic Clay Target Program since 2004, and been a youth program director for several habitat and shooting groups.

john_w_guitar_sml_bwJohn E. Toner is the founder, master and leader of Continental Divide Knives. Known for his Tom Horn style cowboy hat (some friends have never seen him without the hat) his joke and story-telling ability and the beautiful knives he makes.  A true friend and genuine article, John is one that tells it like it is.  John has been a member of the Knife Makers guild and had made knives and accessories that are featured all over the world and used by Professional Hunters on every continent.  John’s designs are brilliant in their ease of use, function, and beauty.

John will continue to be actively involved in Continental Divide Knives, continuing to provide guidance and knowledge that he has learned in the past 30 years about the knife lessons, and the past 75 years about the life lessons.  Truly a good friend and mentor.

John is a founding life member and former director the Arizona Elk Society.  He also is a life member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and a member of Safari Club International, Delta Waterfowl, National Wild Turkey Federation and California Deer Association.  He supports all the wildlife organizations by donating knives for their fundraisers each year.

He also works many hours each year on Wildlife projects and events for children that these organizations support.
